Letters from The Whiskey Porch is a place for slowing down, digging into what really matters, and celebrating the art of living well — especially in smaller spaces and seasonal rhythms.

I’m Miriam, founder of The Whiskey Porch, a boutique design studio in beautiful Prescott, Arizona. I work with local homeowners to create intentional homes and gardens rooted in the quiet magic of high-country living.

This space is where I’ll be sharing stories, inspiration, and practical tools drawn from that work — and from the porch where I often write, think, and dream up new designs.

You’ll find thoughtful reflections, garden rhythms, and design musings—woven together with the belief that home, garden, and seasonal living aren’t separate, but part of one beautiful seasonal cycle.

Why Substack?

After years of juggling blog posts, traditional newsletters, and the noisy chaos of social media… I’ve decided it’s time for a more meaningful shift.

I wanted a quieter, calmer way to connect with readers — one that’s free of algorithms and distraction, and more aligned with the values I bring to my design work: beauty, simplicity, and intentional living.

So this is where I’ll be showing up now. No more inboxes clogged with junk mail. No more shouting into the void of the socials. Just thoughtful posts, sent straight to you — and a cozy little porch community taking shape.
